Vocaloid Hatsune Miku Miku Racing 2022 Cosplay Costumes Reivews
Posted on April 17 2022
So of course, I was a bit nervous ordering a cosplay with no reviews from a company I'd not dealt with prior, but after some research and a Cosplayclan's cosplay preview video, I decided to take a chance. And I'm so glad I did!
The Miku costume is seriously outstanding, especially considering the price, and is very true to the photo. The quality of the text/logos is incredibly crisp, the chartreuse and red bits are incredibly vibrant, and the fabric is a good quality and very comfortable. I should also mention that it fits me very well while still feeling breathable, but I have a relatively slim build and small breasts, so I can't speak for how well it may fit on plus-sized or particularly curvy people. I also ordered an XL, so please take accurate measurements of yourself to make sure you order the right size.
The jumpsuit, as I mentioned, is both form-fitting and comfortable. There are no sleeves (not visible under jacket), so you don't have to worry about unnecessary heat. It's made out of a nylon material that makes quite a bit of noise when you walk, but as long as you're not on a life-or-death stealth mission then it shouldn't be much of a hindrance. It zips in the back, so you may need an extra set of hands to put it on, and also has two belt loops on the back that admittedly, I have no idea what they're for, but it's not like they're in the way or noticeable. The detached sock piece is the same material and has elastic to stay in place, but if you're planning on wearing it to a convention you may want some fashion tape to make sure it doesn't slip around too much. For photoshoots, you should be just fine.
The cropped jacket is a woven fabric that reflects light really nicely, and is also relatively thin. If you're looking for a heavier, puffier, racing material jacket to be fully accurate to Racing Miku's official art, you may want to invest in some more expensive fabric, but that's really a matter of preference -- I personally love what comes with this outfit. There are several velcro squares to hold it in place in the front. If I had one gripe, it'd be that the reflective bits gets scuffed up pretty easily, and the piece on the abdomen isn't very transparent like in the art, but they still have a really cool color-changing effect that adds to the futuristic feel.
The gloves are good quality, but a bit on the small side for me -- they don't slip off though, so it's not much of a problem. It does come with the hair pieces, though I haven't tried to attach them to a wig yet so I can't speak for how well they stay in. They're fine, but a bit small, so I'll probably make my own hair accessories when I have the time. The Miku costume does not include the wig, the shoes (though the jumpsuit does have footcovers), or the flag, which should be pretty obvious, but just in case anyone wasn't quite sure.
TL;DR -- This is a great cosplay costume that fits very well (given you follow the size chart) and is comfortable! The images are very accurate to the product you receive. I only went so in-depth with my review due to there being no other reviews, but all in all it is very much worth it.
